Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about Vereo, your AI receptionist. Still have a question? Get in touch and we will answer it.

How it works

Will it actually sound like a person?

Yes. Vereo uses natural voices with sub-second response, so callers get a real conversation, not a robotic phone tree. Most never realise they are speaking with AI.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Absolutely. You simply divert your current number to Vereo, so nothing changes for your customers. Setup takes minutes.

How does Vereo book appointments?

Vereo checks your availability and locks in the appointment live on the call, writing it into Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or your booking system.

What happens when a call needs a human?

Vereo performs a warm transfer with a whispered summary, so your team is never caught cold. You set the rules for which calls transfer and when.

Does Vereo handle more than one call at once?

Yes. Vereo answers up to 20 calls simultaneously, so there is no engaged tone and no voicemail dead-ends during a rush.

Setup and support

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are live within a few business days. We handle the configuration, voice selection, call flow design and integration testing.

What does the setup fee cover?

The one-off $450+GST setup fee covers agent configuration, voice selection and tuning, call flow design, knowledge base setup, integration wiring, and go-live testing. Additional fees may apply for bespoke integrations such as dental and medical practice management systems (PMS), custom booking platforms or specialist software connectors.

What integrations are supported?

Vereo integrates with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, ServiceM8, Simpro, Cliniko, HotDoc, HubSpot, Xero and Pipedrive. Custom integrations for specialist systems are available on the Custom plan.

Can Vereo speak languages other than English?

Yes. Vereo offers natural voices in more than 30 languages, with an understanding of Australian suburbs, slang and trade jargon.

Pricing and plans

What is included in the $79+GST a month plan?

The Starter plan includes 100 inbound minutes per month, 24/7/365 answering with up to 20 simultaneous calls, natural voice, calendar booking and warm transfer, CRM integration and call summaries, alerts, a knowledge base trained on your business, a monthly reporting dashboard, and consent-managed call recording.

What happens if I use more than 100 minutes?

Additional inbound minutes are billed at $0.49+GST per minute. You can monitor your usage in the dashboard at any time, and we can discuss a higher-volume plan if you consistently exceed 100 minutes.

How are outbound calls charged?

Outbound calls are charged at $0.49+GST per minute plus carrier termination. They are billed separately and are not deducted from your 100 included inbound minutes.

Are there lock-in contracts?

No. Vereo is month to month and you can cancel anytime. The only upfront cost is the one-off $450+GST setup fee.

Privacy and security

Is call recording compliant with Australian privacy law?

Vereo includes consent management built in. You can configure the consent notice to meet your obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the relevant state or territory recording laws.

Where is my data stored?

Vereo data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Sydney, Australia region, encrypted at rest and in transit. See our Security page for more detail.

Who can access my call data?

Your call recordings, transcripts and summaries are confidential and used only to deliver the service to you. Access is controlled and protected by multi-factor authentication.
